Snow Day!

It's been a funny weather week. Last Saturday it was in the 60's, then Tuesday and Wednesday were COLD days at the local school districts- there was no snow, but it was so cold the busses wouldn't start so they cancelled school. Then, yesterday it really started snowing, and this morning we woke up to about 10 inches of snow and cancelled church. You never know what to expect in Denver- we get it all in a week!

Here are some pictures of the girls playing in the snow. It's a little deceiving, though- Claire lasted literally about 3 minutes. She HATES being cold, but thinks she wants to be outside. So we spent 20 minutes bundling up, then went outside and she immediately fell in the snow. Her gloves wouldn't stay on, and after a couple minutes we came back inside. Audra was a trooper, though, and she and Ben played for about an hour outside.

 Believe it or not, this is Audra's first snowman (or snowbear). She loved playing outside!

Playtime

We went out and braved the snow today! We tried to take her in her little sled, but she fell over and after that she didn't want to go in it anymore. OOPS! But, don't try to tell me she isn't the cutest little snow Ewok you've ever seen with this outfit!Cautiously checking out the snow!

The snow plow FINALLY drove by, and left us with a lovely gift for Ben to try and get rid of right in front of our driveway. Oh, well.

Here's a cute video of Audra helping Daddy move the snow. Once she started playing in it, she actually really enjoyed the snow and didn't want to go back inside. I guess she is a true Coloradan!

Winter's Back With a Vengence

It appears that because snow refused to fall during the winter time, it has decided to make a MAJOR comeback for spring! We have already gotten at least a foot, and I am sure we will get another foot or more- it just keeps on coming! I made Ben take off of work becaues I didn't want him to get stuck, and we're just trying to keep Audra occupied!

One way is for her to put on hats- her new favorite thing! She puts on hat after hat and then swings her head around to show it off laughing hysterically! What a cutie! (This is her still in her pajamas, obviously!)

Let it snow! Let it snow!

Our first snow of the season! We took Audra outside- this was her first "real"time in the snow, last year she was too little to play in it, and she absolutely LOVED it! Here are some pics:

Ben pulled her around in this little sled I bought for 3.00 at a garage sale, and she was laughing and giggling the whole time! Perhaps the best 3.00 I have ever spent!

Of course, the sun came out later in the day, and now all the snow is melted- but not until after all the fun!! She was sad to come inside, but I am certain there is MUCH more snow to come!
