Temple De-Struction

Today Audra and I were able to go to the temple and pull out flowers. Apparently, they have winter flowers and summer flowers. We got to take out the winter flowers to make way for the summer ones. It was technically a Relief Society activity, but kids were involved, and it was one of the best RS activities I have ever been to! I LOVED that Audra could come with me and that Audra is learning to love the temple as much as I do!!!

About to get her hands dirty

Audra with one of her best friends Adele

Audra's reward for doing such a good job: "a big, special temple cookie!"

  1. How great that they involved the kids! I remember getting to plant bulbs in the fall at the Salt Lake Temple once. Were you there too? It was a neat experience.

  2. I'm pretty sure I went. I am surprised we don't utilize that opportunity more. When we called to ask if we could help, they said "well, we usually reserve that planing for the primary kids, but I guess a RS can come." I don't think our primary has ever done it, and growing up we never did it. It seems like such a great opportunity, though.
